Week Calendar

Join us for stories, songs and fingerplays geared for little ones ages 0 - 3 and their caregivers, followed by playtime.  Registration is required each week.

Families are invited to bring a blanket or chair and join us for stories, songs and rhymes on the lawn.  Stories are geared for preschoolers, siblings are welcome.

Due to the excessive heat, we will have this program at Bridgeville Public Library instead of at Chartiers Park. 

Get your bodies moving at Throwback Tuesdays. Each week we will try out a different park within Bridgeville Borough and play "old school" playground games with other kids and families!

Join us for a friendly game of chess every Wednesday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. No registration needed!

For children starting Kindergarten in the fall of 2024. In this fourth session, we will focus on rhythm and rhyme. We will use Nursery Rhymes to hear the ending sounds in words.

Every week we will have a different activity. Some of the activities will be anime watching, DIY, karaoke, and a lot more. 

Kids in kindergarten - fifth grade and their families are invited to explore our community this summer!  Each week we'll have a different guest teach us something new.  Registration is required each week.  Space is limited.

Kids who enjoy juvenile fiction and middle grade stories are invited to join us to take a bite out of some good books!

Join the Friends of the Library for a fun evening of crafting! We're celebrating Christmas in July by making Curled Book Page Ornaments!

Cost: $5 per person

What goes bump in the night? This terrarium does! Create a terrarium for some of our favorite cryptids (Bigfoot, Mothman, Chupacabra, etc.). across the US. 

Learn the basics of amigurumi crochet! Every other week, we'll get together to learn the basics of amigurumi crochet, and we'll work a little more on the little cat we're crocheting.

Kids in kindergarten - fifth grade are invited to create cartoons with local artist Karen Hartman.  Registration is required, space is limited.

Kids entering second - fifth grade are invited to join us for American Girl Book Club!  Read the book, then join us for discussion and fun activities.  Books will be available to check out prior to each meeting.

Do you have a game that you love to play, but just don't have enough players? Just want to hang out and have a good time gaming? Then come to the library for our special after hours board game night!

Join Pittsburgh Classic Movie Club for an outdoor movie on the library's patio. Film begins at dusk.
