Week Calendar

Get ready to turn mistakes into beautiful art during our beautiful oops program. Every week we will do a fun storytime and dive into creating art in unique ways. 

Little ones ages 2 & 3 and their caregivers are invited to join us each week for stories, songs and rhymes, followed by freeplay time.  Registration is required each week, space is limited.

Preschoolers ages 3 - 6 and their families are invited to join us for stories, songs, rhymes and a craft each week! Registration is required for each week, space is limited.

Sensory Storytime is a welcoming, friendly environment for children. During our special storytime, we will read, sing songs, and do rhymes in a unique way. After our storytime, we will play with sensory activities!

Join us for a friendly game of chess every Wednesday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. No registration needed!

Infants up to 24 month olds and their caregivers are invited to join us each month for stories, songs and rhymes followed by freeplay time.  Registration is required for each week, space is limited.

Join us for a wicked good time as we enjoy tea, snacks, and create ghost paintings. Our ghost paintings will involve painting ghosts into pre-printed pictures of landscapes.

For adults

Join us on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month in the afternoon for a free showing of a recent DVD release. No registration is required.

Be creative and learn some coding! The USCHS BotsBurgh Robotics Team will be in the Library to show you the Hummingbird Robotics Kit. Participants will work in groups to build and program a robot. 

This week we'll be reading Sister from the Multiverse during Choose Your Own Adventure Book Club! After we read one of the endings, we'll make a craft. This month's craft is Paper Circuits!

Our Teen Advisory Board (TAB) helps our libraries in various ways. One of these ways is to have teens create and implement programs happening within the library! We'll be planning different programs throughout the year.

Learn more about our region’s role in the French and Indian War!

Don't be afraid of the dark this spooky season. Come to the library and create two different luminaries with us. 

Learn the basics of how to crochet! This class is for beginners or friends who already know how to crochet and want to hang out while making a pumpkin. 

Kids in grades 1 - 5 can join us each month for our STEAM Club!  Each month we'll have fun with Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math.  Registration is required each month, space is limited.

Come and enjoy a night of viewing the stars, planets, galaxies and nebula. Our night will begin with a presentation from our own local Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh.
