We're so excited for our storytime field trip to the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden! Our storytime will focus on bugs and nature, and after storytime the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden will be doing a craft themed around the books we read! 

For children starting Kindergarten in the fall of 2024. Our first class will be about cooperation and friendship. We will focus on working together, sharing ideas, listening, and following directions with stories and games!

Join Pittsburgh Classic Movie Club for an outdoor movie on the library's patio. Film begins at dusk.

Sensory Storytime is a welcoming, friendly environment for children. During our special storytime, we will read, sing songs, and do rhymes in a unique way. After our storytime, we will play with sensory activities!

Kids in kindergarten - fifth grade are invited to join us and paint with local artist Karen Hartman!  Registration is required, space is limited.

Kids who enjoy juvenile fiction and middle grade stories are invited to join us to take a bite out of some good books!

Join the Friends of the Library for a cooking demonstration with Registered Dietician, Eric Capozzoli. Everyone in attendance will enjoy a sample of each preparation. Recipes will be included.

Cost: $5 per person.

Get your bodies moving at Throwback Tuesdays. Each week we will try out a different park within Bridgeville Borough and play "old school" playground games with other kids and families!

Every week we will have a different activity. Some of the activities will be anime watching, DIY, karaoke, and a lot more. 

This week Alcosan is coming to our library to help us learn about circuitry and explore little bits!

Join us for stories, songs and fingerplays geared for little ones ages 0 - 3 and their caregivers, followed by playtime.  Registration is required each week.

Join us for a friendly game of chess every Wednesday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. No registration needed!

It's Smokey the Bear's 80th Birthday this summer!  Families are invited to help us celebrate with games, crafts and fun activities at the library.  Registration is required.

Families are invited to bring a blanket or chair and join us for stories, songs and rhymes on the lawn.  Stories are geared for preschoolers, siblings are welcome.

Kids in kindergarten - fifth grade and their families are invited to explore our community this summer!  Each week we'll have a different guest teach us something new.  Registration is required each week.

Race to the library to compete in a MarioKart 8 Deluxe tournament! 

Registration is required for this program. 

For children starting Kindergarten in the fall of 2024. Our second session will focus on fine motor skills. We will strengthen our fingers by practicing writing, drawing, cutting, and using glue sticks.

Join us on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month in the afternoon for a free showing of a recent DVD release. No registration is required.

Don German, Plant Manager of the Irvin Plant, USSteel in West Mifflin, will present an exciting talk on the Bald Eagle family that has nested at the Plant for the past few years.

Kids in kindergarten - fifth grade can see "How Far You Can Go" as they create a path for Sphero to see how far it can travel in one run!  Registration is required for this program from Alcosan, space is limited.

Kids who enjoy early chapter books are invited to join us to take a bite out of some good books!  We'll read from the first chapter of a different book each time while we share snacks, then do a fun activity related to the book.

Learn the basics of amigurumi crochet! Every other week, we'll get together to learn the basics of amigurumi crochet, and we'll work a little more on the little cat we're crocheting.
